Y’all know I’m all about keepin’ it real here, right? Well, it doesn’t get much more real than this. This is my garage in its current state. Talk about embarrassing! It was so nicely organized before winter hit, and most things seemed to have a place. Now, not so much. Now it’s just a mess of random stuff piled on top of other random stuff. Lots of boxes of junk, containers that I switched out, an old chandelier that I want to give a makover, and my tools that still have pieces of wood from old projects lying on them. Let’s not even talk about the laundry basket and cork board that are lying on my table saw.
Then there is the other side of the garage where there are random totes filled with bike helmets and balls, fishing equipment and shovels, and folding chairs sitting on top of all of that. People, this is deplorable.
But…there is a light at the end of the tunnel. An organizing project is in the works, and I am thrilled to get started so I can get my garage back! I can’t wait to actually be able to work and play in there again, and actually find what I’m looking for!
Matt and I took a trip to the Home Depot this weekend to purchase the Newell Rubbermaid FastTrack system and a whole bunch of hooks and organizing elements that fit the FastTrack system! There are hooks to help organize everything, like bikes, coolers, ladders, shovels, rakes and so much more!
Check out this piece for organizing all of the kiddo’s sports equipment! No more balls rolling around the garage, they can simply take them out and stick them right back in when they are finishes…I think this may be my favorite piece!
Now that I’ve picked up what I’m needed at Home Depot, it’s time to get started! I can’t wait to show y’all the garage when it’s finished and all organized! Maybe it will motivate you to get your garage organized this spring too!
