Mother’s Day is literally right around the corner. If you have been procrastinating like I have, then you may need to whip up something quick and creative that will make a lasting impact. This Mother’s Day Major Jar Gift & Free Printable is exactly that, quick and easy.
Mother’s Day Mason Jar Gift & Free Printable
To make this gift you will need just a handful of supplies:
- small mason jar
- gold paint
- small plant (think succulents!)
- free printable
Step 1: The first thing you need to do is take your empty mason jar and with the nozzle 12 – 18 inches away, spray on the gold paint. Make sure you make sweeping motions back and forth to ensure complete coverage, as well as are in a well ventilated space while working. Getting too close to the jar can cause you to have runs in the paint, so make sure you stay at least 12 to 18 inches away while spraying. Allow the jar to dry for the next two hours. (The paint I used for this craft is made by Krylon, and it is the 18kt. Gold Plate metallic fast drying paint.)
Step 2: After the paint is dry, take your plant and add it to the Mason Jar. I used a 4oz. succulent called Echeveria Mazarine. It’s a drought tolerant plant, so that helps forgetful mom. I left my plant in the small container it came in and placed it into the Mason Jar. It needs to be able to drain well, and if it gets over watered, the jar can easily be emptied.
Step 3: Once you have the Mason Jar and plant in place, it’s time to print out the free printable. To download your free printable for this Mother’s Day craft, click here:
Step 4: After you have the printable downloaded, you can transfer it into your vinyl cutting machine software and cut your printable out, or you can hand cut your printable.
Step 5: Attach the printable to your gift with some colorful twine and make your mom have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
This is such a fun and easy project for you to create and gift to your mom for this Mother’s Day. Make sure you download your free printable gift tag here!
