Love is in the air, which usually means time for Old Kentucky Chocolate’s famous chocolate dipped strawberries for me! Matt stands in line every Valentine’s Day to get them for me, but this year will be a bit different, because this girl has gone sugar free. That can be a real bummer around Valentine’s Day…I mean, every girl should have chocolates on V-Day, right? Well…no fear my friends…you can have your chocolate and eat it too ;) This year, I made my own Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, and they are sugar free! Can I get a whoop whoop?
I bought sugar free chocolate chips and sugar free white chocolate chips, and melted them in my candy melter, one at a time. I started by dipping the strawberries in chocolate first, then placing them on waxed paper.
Next, I placed them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes while I melted my white chocolate chips.
Once the white chocolate chips were melted, I pulled the strawberries out of the fridge and used a spoon to randomly drizzle white chocolate on them. No need for perfection here!
While some may prefer a glass of milk with their sweets, I love a steaming cup of coffee! I add a little International Delight’s Fat Free & Sugar Free Toasted Hazlenut Creamer to sweeten it up a bit (I am not a black coffee fan), and enjoy a totally guilt free dessert!
This pair is perfect together…the toasted hazlenut taste blends perfectly with the chocolate covered strawberries…it almost feel sinful!
