The holidays can bring a ton of stress, so I decorate as early as I can so I can enjoy the holidays with my family. I like to start right after Halloween is over. I know some of you are thinking that I am completely skipping Thanksgiving, and that is sooo not the case. I still host Thanksgiving dinner, and can enjoy it more because I don't dread the after Thanksgiving decorating rush. Plus, we get to enjoy the holiday feeling longer.
This year, I participated in The Big Lots Big Holiday Challenge with some other talented bloggers, and started shopping for some of my decor in October. I was able to beat the crowds and pick some amazing holiday decor, and was ready to decorate by the beginning of November. It's so nice just to have it all done and really enjoy the feel of the holidays in our home! It is National Decorate Your Home For The Holidays Week, so why not jump in now?
We have already started making ornaments, and can hang them on our Christmas tree as we make them. It's so nice to have something fun and rewarding to do with the kiddos in the evenings since it gets dark so early now. It's so much fun to see how excited they are to get home from school and enjoy the holiday atmosphere we have created already too!
We light candles all around our house and it smells amazing!
And, we've already started holiday baking too! Why not enjoy it for as long as you can?

Thank you for mentioning how you decorate early so you don't have that added stress during the holidays. I am going to be hosting Christmas for my family this year and am getting ready. I will find a reputable place for Christmas decorating supplies close by. http://www.northstarlightinganddecor.com/
