    Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso Latte

    I love a latte, especially over ice! I've been spending lots of time in the Starbucks drive thru lately picking up this delicious treat, so I decided it was time to figure out how to make a Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso Latte myself! I cannot tell you how delicious this iced latte is...it's literally Heaven in a cup! It's so easy to make this latte at home yourself, and it's sure to impress your friends!

    My obsession with coffee drinks started with this 3 Ingredient Mocha Frappuccino years ago, but my taste has definitely become a little more sophisticated. Now I prefer my coffee drinks a little sweet, and a little stronger too!

    How to Make Brown Sugar Syrup

    Time needed: 5 minutes.

    How to Make Brown Sugar Syrup

    1. Gather ingredients.

      ¼ cup water
      ¼ cup brown sugar
      ½ tsp vanilla extract
      1 cinnamon stick

    2. Combine ingredients in a small pot.

      Add the water, brown sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon to a small pot and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

    3. Cook for until the sugar has dissolved and thickened.

      Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the brown sugar has dissolved and thickened a bit.

    4. Remove from heat and transfer to a jar.

    How to Make a Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso Latte

    Once you've gotten the brown sugar syrup, making the latte is super easy.

    • Fill a shaker or jar with 1 cup of ice.
    • Add 1 shot of espresso and shake vigorously.
    • Fill a glass with the remaining cup of ice.
    • Pour the latte mixture over the ice.
    • Top off with ½ cup of oat milk.
    • Enjoy!

    This decadent latte can be enjoyed year round!

    Ingredients

    For the Brown Sugar Syrup

    • ¼ cup water
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • ½ tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 cinnamon stick

    For the Shaken Espresso

    • 1 shot of espresso
    • 2 tbsp brown sugar syrup
    • ½ cup oat milk
    • 2 cups ice

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the brown sugar syrup. Add water, brown sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon stick to a small pot and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often, until the brown sugar has dissolved and thickened. Remove from heat and carefully transfer to a jar.
    2. Once you are ready to prepare the latte, fill a shaker with 1 cup of ice.
    3. Add the espresso and brown sugar syrup and shake vigorously.
    4. Fill a glass with the remaining 1 cup of ice and pour the latte mixture over.
    5. Top with oat milk and serve!
