Are you ready to get your home in tip top shape and ready for the warmer months? Today I’m sharing some of my favorite Spring cleaning tips and tricks. I have a feeling these little nuggets of cleaning knowledge will have your home sparkling in no time!
Let’s get started!
Making a plan is a great way to begin. I find that a good printable checklist will help tasks seem a little less overwhelming. My friend Abby shared this fabulous Spring Cleaning Checklist and it breaks the tasks down by room. It definitely helps you organized to tackle your entire home.
I also really love this collection of Spring Cleaning cheat sheets featured on Create. Craft. Love.
Create a cleaning kit. I have put together a wonderful Spring Cleaning Kit that contains no harsh chemicals. The list of supplies will be so helpful for you to put together one for yourself. Once you have all of your supplies in a handy carry-all or container, your cleaning routine will be so much easier. Getting prepared really does save time and money, too.
One area in our homes that don’t often get the care that they need are our carpets. I love these carpet cleaning tips from Real Advice Gal. She gives some great ideas on how to save money while getting your carpets and staying clean. No professional needed. If you are looking to make your own carpet cleaner, take a look at my carpet cleaner recipe. It works really well. If you don’t have carpet, but have hardwoods, I have a fabulous wood floor cleaner recipe, too!
When it comes to spring cleaning your kitchen, I have you covered! There is no better feeling than having a clean kitchen. Not only will it keep germs at bay and your family healthy, it will give you a sense of peace. That is priceless in my book!
While you are in the kitchen, make sure your refrigerator gets some attention. I love how Jessica at Four Generations One Roof organized her fridge. Everything has its place. I also have some great refrigerator cleaning tips for you take a look at before you tackle your fridge.
The bathroom is normally a spot that most of you clean pretty regularly. This week I shared something that you probably aren’t cleaning as often as you would like… your shower curtain. These four ways to clean your shower curtain will keep the mold and mildew away and your bathroom super fresh. Be sure to check out my recipe for a good all-natural bathroom cleaner. I really enjoy using mine!
The final cleaning task, the one we put off the longest, the one that maybe we think can hang on for a little longer (it can’t)… getting those windows cleaned! It is beautiful outside, don’t you want to see it clearly? I love the way One Good Thing by Jillee cleans her windows. It really is quite simple and will leave your windows streak free. You can do it! Now go get things done and get ready for the fun warm months ahead!
