These jelly bean cupcakes are so simple to make and super fun for your kids to decorate. They are the perfect Easter dessert too!
With Easter right around the corner, I thought I would share one of our family traditions with you. We used to dye eggs every Easter, but the truth is, my kids don’t love boiled eggs, so we decided to try something new instead of wasting eggs. We like to make and decorated cupcakes instead. Since we always keep our favorite Pillsbury Cake Mixes and Frostings on hand, it’s easy to whip up a batch and think of fun new ways to decorate them. This year, Kate wanted to make jelly bean cupcakes! They were so easy to make and fun for her to decorate too!
For these particular cupcakes, we used Pillsbury’s Moist Supreme Cake Mix in Classic Yellow and Confetti Funfetti Vanilla Frosting.
Kate prepared and baked the cupcakes all by herself. She is 12 and has been baking for years, but some kids may need a little adult assistance.
Once the cupcakes finished baking and cooled, we used a frosting bag and swirled the delicious vanilla icing around the top of the cupcakes.
Then we simply sprinkled our favorite jelly beans over the tops of them!
It really can’t get much easier than that! With Pillsbury Cake Mixes and Frostings, the ideas are endless! They would look so cute with different colored sprinkles instead of jelly beans or marshmallow chicks or bunnies! We will be adding those to our list of cupcakes to make this spring!
Walmart is definitely our go to place to stock up on Pillsbury Cake Mixes and Frostings! We can grab all of our spring baking supplies in one place at a great price and head home to mix up a moment in our kitchen. I’m looking forward to lots of baking adventures with my girl, and can’t wait to share the Easter Cupcakes we are whipping up using our Pillsbury Cake Mixes and Frostings coming soon on the blog!
