Introducing, The Cooking Housewives! I have joined some of my favorite real moms/housewives for a fun recipe series! Don't get me wrong, we are not your average housewives...this group is full of some seriously talented ladies that not only know how to cook, but are also kick ass DIYers, run their own blogs and businesses, have some mad building skills and so much more. The added bonus here is that we are all about keepin' it real and making life simple. That is why we decided to band together and start this fun series. We will be sharing our recipes on the 1st Wednesday of each month, and each month there will be a fun theme. This month's theme is picnic food since we are still in the middle of summer. Each month, the theme will be something that fits with the time of year we are in, and hopefully will help you come up with some more recipes that make it easier for you to plan your family meals. As mentioned before, these recipes have been tested by our families and are simple to make...no fancy shmancy here!

***The best way to keep up with our series is to subscribe to my newsletter. It's absolutely free, and I will never share your information with anyone else. You will simply get an email when I share a new post. You can subscribe at the end of this post! Now, on to my recipe and the rest of the delicious picnic recipes!

    Corn and Black Bean Salsa

One of my favorite things to take to a picnic is my Corn and Black Bean Salsa! The recipe makes enough for a large crowd, and has become a favorite among my family and friends. It's super easy to toss together and is made with half canned goods and half fresh produce. I typically serve it with scoop tortilla chips, but it can also be enjoyed as a garnish on tacos or on top of a taco salad. Even though this salsa recipe makes a ton of dip, it goes quickly because it is just that good! You can grab the recipe for my Corn and Black Bean Salsa HERE or find it with the other amazing recipes below!

Now that you have my favorite picnic recipe, check out the rest of The Cooking Housewives Easy Picnic Recipes below! You are going to be so glad you did!
