Christmas is coming soon, and even though it's almost two month away, I've got the fever...bad! I also like to get a jump on things so I can share ideas with you so you can start planning your Christmas decor ahead of time...I'm sweet like that. ;) This year for our Christmas mantel, I wanted to go white and silver with a touch of aqua. Also, I'm kind of obsessed with deer right now, so deer...lots of deer. The chalkboard on my mantel is one of my favorite DIYs I've ever done, so it stayed and I worked around it. It's the perfect backdrop for all seasons, I think.
I took a trip to At Home to check out all of their amazing At Home Christmas Decor, and wowzas, y'all! At Home offers over 100 varieties of artificial Christmas Trees ...I mean, they have trees for days and for every taste! They also have 15 At Home Christmas decorative themes to choose from so you can shop themes to have a cohesive look or you can mix it up and do your own thing!
I totally fell in love with their Crystal Chateau line and all of it's fluffy whiteness. I decided to decorate our mantel using some of the pieces from that line and couldn't be happier with the way it turned out!
The first piece I picked out was this fabulous sequin deer head. I mean, have you ever seen anything more magical? It couldn't be more magical if it were a unicorn! I wanted this piece to be the centerpiece of our mantel decor.
For the extra touches, I chose some garland and picked up some Snow Spray to give it the look of being dusted with snow, then I tucked in some ornaments from the collection. The silver pinecones with white paint were too pretty to pass up...
And these cracked mirror bulb ornaments practically jumped into my cart. Aren't they to die for??? I think I'll actually keep them out in a bowl after the Holiday Season.
These feather tassels were so sweet and fluffy...they made the perfect garland to go across the front of our mantel.
I added some candlesticks and metal deer to each end of the mantel to balance things out and hung some stockings as well, then chalked Merry & Bright on my chalkboard to finish off the mantel.
I wanted to add a little detail to the hearth area, so I picked up this beautiful silver leaf deer and placed it on a fluffy faux fur white rug.
I love the way everything turned out...it just makes me dream of a white Christmas even more than I usually do. Nash however was not impressed with the silver leaf deer and tried to take him out...puppies will be puppies after all.
At Home has so many amazing Christmas decor items to choose from and they make it so easy. I love that they have 15 different themes to choose from and mixing them is so easy! At Home also features all Christmas décor items from dining to ornaments, Tree for Me , lights, outdoor decor items, wreath and garlands too!
At Home's everyday low prices will definitely knock your socks off!
Which At Home Christmas decorative theme would you choose?

The rug I think should be in front of the fireplace instead of scanty cornered.

Beautiful mantle! Did you make the chalkboard yourself? I have been hunting one for years to go over my fireplace and this is the best one I've ever seen. Did you make it yourself and can you please tell me how you affixed the deer head to the board so it could easily be removed? Thanks so much from Montana

Thank you! It was actually a mirror that was on top of a dresser that I painted with chalk paint. I just painted the wood white and distressed it with sandpaper, then painted the mirror with 3 coats of chalkboard paint. It was one of the easiest projects I've ever done and has been on my mantel for at least 7 years. I affixed the deer head with a couple of 3M velcro strips so I could easily remove it. Let me know if you have any more questions! xoxo, Jess

Thank you SO MUCH! I love the overhang and everything about it. I have a huge space to fill above the fireplace and have actually searched for years for the right piece. You nailed it!
I truly appreciate the reply.
