How To Charge Your iPhone Faster ~ Tip of the Day

    by Jessica 15 Comments

Oh my goodness! I just learned this tip, and am soooo excited to share it with you!  I have a love/hate relationship with my phone. I obsess over the care of it, since I had to live without it for 2 days last year.  See, I had dropped it in the toilet at a friend's engagement party, and saved it using THIS METHOD. Thank goodness!  Well, today, I want to share another tip for your iPhone. This one comes from my good friend, Jason...we call him Gabb, and I can't tell you what a life saver it is! So, you know when your phone is just about dead and you maybe have like 5 minutes to charge it? And you are freaking out because your kids aren't with you and you know your phone is going to die? Well, no fear...thanks to Gabb, I can share how to charge your iPhone faster!
How To Charge Your iPhone Faster ~ Tip of the Day

So here is what you do. Go to Settings, and turn Airplane Mode ON.  Now, hook your phone up to the charger of your choice. Check back in 5-10 minutes, and be prepared to be blown away!  Mine was just about dead...at about 8% battery life when I plugged it up. When I checked it 5 minutes later, it was at 54%!  Booyah!  I wanted to be sure that it worked on Matt's phone as well, so we tested it, and he got the same kind of result!  Exciting, right? I'd love to know if this works for you as well! And...if you have any awesome tips for iPhone users, be sure to share them in them comment section below!

    Happy Charging!

Hi Jessica! That's a great tip. I usually minimize the screen brightness to help save my battery. Also, I'll share a tip that was very useful for me as a mom. If your kids like to play on your phone or iPad, and you don't want them touching buttons that will allow them to get out of the app, go to Settings, General, Accessibility, and go to Guided Access and turn it on. After that, open the app you want to control and triple click, highlight the areas you don't want them touching and you're set. Triple click and enter password to stop it. That's it. I never knew this feature existed but I'm so glad I found it. Now I can let my toddlers play and use an app on my iPad without worrying they'll get out and tweet photos of me! Lol. Thanks again!

Might be your brightness. Make sure you turn it down every once in a while. It sucks up your power big time.

Also turn off you wifi and Bluetooth when you aren't going to use them. They will constantly be searching for it and that runs it down.

Here's a few more tips. Make sure you turn wifi and Bluetooth off when using this tip. They suck up your power when you're charging it. Another thing is turn your brightness COMPLETELY down when charging. True, you might not be using it when charging it but trust me it helps. Last thing is close all background apps that you don't need running. I'm not sure how different it is on other devices and software versions, but I'm using an iPad Air 2 running on iOS 9. When you double click the home button quickly all your background apps will pop up. Swipe up to get rid of anything you don't want or need running. Hope this helps!

Umm not a new thing. Everybody should know by now that turning airplane mode on will accelerate the charging phase.. Ie bc it basically turn your phone off while being on. On the same note might as well just turn your phone off completely that also expedites the process

Also, if you can afford do it, turning the phone off completely while charging is the absolute fastest charging state.
