These easy DIY Refrigerator Deodorizers will help to keep odors from stinking up your fridge while giving it a light, clean scent as well. The baking soda in them helps to absorb odors while the essential oils help to absorb the odors and freshen your refrigerator without having an effect on your food or beverages.
What do you need to make DIY Refrigerator Deodorizers?
- ⅓ cup of water
- 2 cups of baking soda ( Purchase HERE )
- 10 drops of lavender essential oils ( Purchase HERE )
- 10 drops of lemon essential oils ( Purchase HERE )
- Silicone mold ( Purchase HERE )
How to Make Homemade Refrigerator Deodorizer Tablets
Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and stir to combine.
The mixture should be the consistency of wet sand and if you grab a handful it should clump together easily. If it doesn’t, add more water a teaspoon at a time until it reaches the right consistency.
Spoon the mixture into your silicone mold. Firmly press the baking soda mixture down so it is compact. Let air dry for 24 - 48 hours.
Once they are fully dry, pop them out and store in an airtight container.
Place 1-3 tablets in a small bowl or on a plate and place in the back of your refrigerator.

Once these deodorizer are replaced, can we use the old ones to clean anything?

Absolutely...the baking soda still works, so you could totally use them in your sink and flush them down with warm water.
