January is such a great time to hit the reset button and get your home in order, especially after the crazy year we all just had! Starting the process of getting your home cleaned and organized can be stressful, and sometimes it’s hard to know where to start, so I created this free 4 Week Cleaning and Organizing Checklist that you can print at home or download to your phone or tablet!

I have been sharing cleaning tips and homemade cleaning recipes for years, but I’ve always lacked a little organization, so I am teaming up with my long time blogging friend, Shannon from Fox Hollow Cottage to do this 4 week challenge and share it with you! We are going to be tag-teaming it and making our way through the printable checklist over 4 weeks to share our tips and ideas for getting your home clean and organized without breaking the bank! We recently had a long discussion about how sometimes social media can make people feel less than or stressed out with all of the perfection, especially when most people don’t have the money or time to make their homes look perfect like we see so often on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. While we both love all 3 of those platforms, we decided that it is really important for us to show the real side of things. Shannon and I both live in small homes and love sharing budget friendly ideas, so we have both decided to go back to the basics and share more real and budget minded ideas instead of just showing the pretty and perfectly staged. We are really excited to start here with the 4 Week Cleaning and Organizing Challenge. Our hope is to help others get motivated to get their homes clean and organized, then continue to help you keep your homes tidy and share more ways to make your home the best it can be without emptying your bank account!

How to Join the Cleaning and Organizing Challenge

Over the next 4 weeks, we will be taking turns posting on our blogs as we follow the checklist and we’d love for you to follow along! The best way to join and follow along is to start by printing or downloading the Weekly Cleaning and Organizing Checklist HERE. That way you can see what is coming up and follow along with us. The great thing is, you can do this at your own pace or pick and choose which items you want to do! You can even jump in and do this any time during the year!

The best way to make sure that you see our posts and receive the link to the day’s challenge is to subscribe to our email lists! You can subscribe to my (Mom 4 Real) emails HERE and Shannon’s (Fox Hollow Cottage) HERE. This is totally optional, but will always be the best way to ensure you don’t miss a thing!

It is January 31st and although I haven’t done everything, I did do quite a bit. But more importantly the items I did do would NOT have gotten done if it weren’t for this list. So thank you for that!! It really was a great motivator. For February can you do it again??? Maybe do one with self care items such as read a book…take a bath… 5 positive affirmations…Just a thought but again thanks so much for putting this together. I will continue to do the cleaning in February until I have done everyon of the tasks!
