This tutorial will have you looking at bottles in a whole new way! I’m so excited to share how to turn a glass bottle into a lamp in minutes with you!
It’s thrift store decor time again! I love taking items and turning them into something entirely different, especially when it’s easy. This sweet little lamp was by far the easiest makeover I’ve done to date. I hope it will inspire you to make your own lamp using something you either already own or maybe one from a thrift store or yardsale. Let me show you how easy it really is!
Be sure to check out the projects from my fellow Thrift Store Decor blogging buddies at the end of this post…there are some amazing ideas this month!
This is the glass bottle I started with. It looks like a large wine bottle…which could totally be used instead! In fact, I think that would be so cute in a kitchen!
I bought this little lamp kit at Lowe’s for around $4. I simply popped it in the top of the bottle after choosing the right sized stopper, added a lamp shade and plugged it into the wall.
I think it turned out super cute, and may even look for a different lamp shade in the future! Or maybe I could cover this lampshade with fabric or stencil a design on it. Now my mind is open to so many lamp making ideas…I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more interesting pieces!
