Y'all, I'm so excited about The Home Depot's next DIY Workshop. I haven't built anything in quite a while, and have been itching to get back out to my garage and make something. When I was invited to participate in a super fun virtual party by my friend Jen Woodhouse and The Home Depot, I knew it was time...and the project couldn't be more fitting! If you are a regular reader of my blog, then you probably know that my son Cam just graduated from high school. We are so proud of him and really excited that he will be heading to Western Kentucky University in the fall. WKU's campus is beautiful and it is truly an amazing school. We are so excited to take many road trips to visit him and cheer on WKU's football team. Football games mean we get to participate in one of our favorite activities, tailgating. We have been tailgating at UK's football games for over 17 years and will be moving our tailgates west for the time being. So, when Jen told me that the project we would be doing for the next DIY Workshop was a Father's Day Football Toss, I literally jumped up and down and did a little dance! The build plans are super easy and we get to personalize them, so...of course, I'll be making mine to match WKU's colors! My husband, Matt is going to love it!!
I'll be sharing my Father's Day Football toss along with Jen from The House of Wood, Sarah from Life On Virginia Street, April from House By Hoff, and Amy from Her Toolbelt next week. I can't wait to see what sort of spin these amazingly talented ladies put on their football tosses, and I hope we will encourage you to join us and sign up for The Home Depot's next DIY Workshop! The Home Depot offers so many amazing workshops, including the Do-It-Yourself Workshops, Do-It-Herself Workshops and Kid's Workshops. They are so much fun and free to all who want to participate. They are great for those who already know how to work with power tools and even better for those who want to learn. Believe me, before I started my blog, I hadn't picked up a powertool other than an electric screwdriver. Now, I can build just about anything, and it all started with The Home Depot at a conference I attended a few years ago called Haven! They had a workshop where they taught us the basics of working with power tools, and I caught the bug big time.
I encourage you to join in the fun! You can sign up for the workshops at your local Home Depot by clicking HERE TO REGISTER!
