I love anything monogrammed! I am a southern girl after all, and I’m pretty sure that is a prerequisite for living in the south…must love all things monogrammed…check! I am pretty sure we are also required to love burlap, so I’ve got that too. Now, add a little glitter, and this girl is completely over the moon! No need to be a southern girl to love this glittery stenciled burlap monogram though…it’s perfect for anywhere and so easy to make that it’s sinful!
So, this is the part where I brag and name drop a little… My friend Amy from Mod Podge Rocks has a new line of Peel and Stick Stencils and they are AMAZING!!! I mean, they stick to whatever you are stenciling people! I also used some stretched burlap, a pouncer, some glitter, a wooden K, and Mod Podge…all of these things can be found at Michaels!
To make my monogram all gold and glittery, I simply placed the sticky stencil on a wooden cutout. Then I lightly brushed a layer of Mod Podge onto the stencil.
Next, I used my applied glitter using my pouncer.
I pulled the stencil up and moved it around until the entire monogram was covered and then removed it for washing while my monogram dried.
Once it was all dry, I hot glued the wooden monogram onto a piece of stretched burlap…isn’t it perfection? I think so!
