This post is sponsored by Michaels…all opinions, photos and creations are 100% mine!Michaels Recollections CalendarI love calendars…love, love, love them!  I think my obsession with calendars started when I was in high school.  I was having trouble keeping up with my assignments and schedule in the 11th grade, and sought the help of my guidance counselor/mentor, Mrs. Eller, and she bought me my first student planner.  She sat down with me and showed me how she used a planner to help her keep track of everything.  From the moment I started writing things in that planner, my life changed.  I no longer felt like I was forgetting things, and I stopped over scheduling myself.  I could also keep up with fun events and friend’s birthdays.  Since then, I have always been so excited to buy my new calendar and planner for the next year.  I thoroughly enjoy writing all of the birthdays, events, school breaks and holidays on my calendar!  I love a pretty calendar too, so when I got the chance to try out the Michaels Recollections Calendar Kit, I was sooo excited!  This fabulous 12 month blank wall calendar is a fun and memorable way to display your favorite photographs throughout the year.  I couldn’t wait to personalize it for myself!

Michaels Recollections StickersThe kit contains a beautiful album, blank calendar pages, beautiful designer insert cards and stickers!  Whoop!

Adding photos to the Michaels Recollections Calendar KitI immediately got started personalizing my calendar.  I dug through some family photos and added some to the designer cards with some washi tape.  October is my favorite by far…not because it’s my birthday month or anything like that.  I just love the colors!  I added one of my favorite photos of Kate and Cam visiting a pumpkin patch when they were little…it just makes me smile!

October calendarI added some important dates too.

April Recollections CalendarLooks like April is going to be a busy month!

Recollections Calendar Kit at MichaelsI am absolutely in LOVE with my new calendar.  It’s so fun and personalized.  I think I may just make one of these for my mother-in-law as a gift…she would love it!

I also love that it’s like a mini scrapbook.  I am going to be sure to write down our memories as we go along through the months and add it to our family’s photo albums and scrapbooks.  Kind of like a mini year in review!  Can you imagine how much fun it would be to look back years later and see what your family did all year long?

These Michaels Recollections Calendar Kits are available exclusively at Michaels Stores for $39.99!  They are super fun and easy to work with, and would make a great gift for a family member, friend or even yourself ;)

I agree. I was thinking that with some sleeve protectors, dividers, and a 3-ring binder you could do this. Would make a neat group craft idea!

They totally are adorable, not to mention functional. I could fashion my own, but if the kit is there, I’m all in.

Hi Jessica, So it sounds like the Michaels calendar isn’t made anymore. I like this idea as I haven’t been impressed with just using a white board month because it doesn’t meet our needs. It looks like this is a paper calendar in a binder with tabs naming the months and it hangs from the wall correct? Is there any other part to it? and what did you use to secure it to the wall?

Could you explain the basic components of the calendar so I can make my own without Michael’s products? And could you explain how to attach it to the wall?

Have you or anyone been able to find a binder that has the hole for hanging it? I saw you say Michael’s no longer sells this so was hoping to find a similar binder
