How To Make Lemon Infused Vodka In Minutes

Summer is coming soon, right? Time for cocktails on the patio and fun with friends! My husband is a fan of citrus flavored vodkas, so I wanted to try and make my own as a surprise for him. I read a ton about making your own lemon infused vodka, and most of them take weeks to get the right flavor. I am not so patient, so I had a thought. What if I used my lemon essential oil to make some on the fly? I gave it a try on a small scale so I wouldn't waste too much of anything, and WOW! It turned out amazing!!!

For my lemon infused vodka, I used Kirkland brand vodka from Costco (guys, it's so good and so affordable), a few fresh lemons (more for looks than flavor), and lemon essential oils.

I filled the jar ¾ of the way up with vodka.

Next, I added 25 drops of my lemon essential oils.

Finally, I sliced 3 lemons into wedges and added them to the jar. I gave it a good shake to mix all of the flavors together, and added a cute little label.

Cute, right? Matt loved it, and said I should make more to give to some of our friends as gifts! I'm so pleased with the way it turned out! Because there are no chemicals or preservatives, I am keeping ours in the refrigerator.

If you'd like to make your own and use the label that I made, you can click on the link below and print out your own! I printed mine on sticker paper, but you can totally print it on regular paper, cut it out and attach it to your jar using double sided tape!
