Two weeks ago, we went to the beach for a week, and my children would barely eat. We were busy swimming, boogie boarding, sight seeing, and golfing. Since we have been home, the weather has been pretty pitiful, so we have all been stuck inside. I hate the word bored, but they are bored! When they are bored, they tend to eat more. Kate is eating every 30 minutes, and claims she is starving! In addition, Cam has been sleeping in, so he wants to start the day with cereal or pancakes, even if it’s noon. At first, I had no problem with this, after all, it is Summer. Now, after witnessing his eating habits this week, I am making some new food rules in this house. This may sound a little extreme, but I am not a short order cook, there is constantly someone in the kitchen, so there is a constant mess, and it’s a lot harder to keep up with what they are eating, and I don’t want them to make a habit out of eating to pass time.
