I hope you love this month's Thrift Store Decor post as much as I do! I'm sharing a Hot Air Balloon Planter with free printable, and the rest of the Thrift Store Decorating Team is sharing some crazy awesome inspiration too. Make sure to check them all out at the end of this post!
I have a strong love for houseplants...they just make me feel less trapped inside during the winter months. I especially love planting them in unconventional vessels...and this one is completely unconventional to say the least!
I found these two pieces at a thrift store long ago and have been holding on to them just in case...I mean, I couldn't just leave a topiary at the thrift store, right? And you can never have enough little buckets. I seriously have a stack of them in my garage!
I decided to wrap the bucket in some twine so it would look more like a basket than a bucket.
I spray painted the topiary my favorite shade of aqua. I added some pebbles to the bottom of the bucket and filled it with dirt, then plucked a cute little plant that I found at Lowe's in.
To finish it off, I placed the topiary form into the bucket and pulled some of the plant through. I think it turned out super cute!
I also created this sweet printable from one of my favorite movies, The Wizard Of Oz because hot air balloons totally take me back to the end of that movie! You can print it out if you like or just pin it to your favorite Pinterest quotes board. I think it is a sweet reminder to always believe that we can achieve whatever we put our minds to.
Be sure to check out the rest of this month's Thrift Store Decorating Team projects...they are fabulous to say the least!

Great idea, and I have a little ivy plant in my window that is going to need to go up up and away assuming I don't kill it first.
