I have shared a couple of DIY laundry soap recipes, like my Homemade Laundry Detergent Powder and my Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap, but today I want to share a Laundry Detergent Recipe that is gentle enough for babies and people with sensitive skin...it's my recipe for Baby Safe Laundry Detergent, and it's super simple to make! It can be used in all washers too, even HE!
You will need 3 cups of Washing Soda, 3 Cups of Borax, 1 bar of Unscented Baby Mild Pure - Castile Soap, a grater or food processor and a container to store your detergent in.
Start by grating your bar of soap or you can cut it into chunks and use your food processor to grate it finely.
Now add your 3 cups of washing soda.
Then add your 3 cups of Borax.
Mix together really well...it should be really fine and powdery.
Now place in an airtight container. I am giving this batch to a friend who is having a baby soon, so I tied a ⅓ cup scoop onto it with a yellow ribbon. This detergent isn't just for babies! I use it on all of my delicates and it can be used for those of you that have sensitive skin or children with sensitive skin! It smells fresh, but really light and not overpowering, and it gets your clothes nice and clean!
To use, simply add ⅓ cup to your laundry in place of your normal laundry soap...it's as simple as that ;)
Hope you love it!
