Macaroni and cheese has always been a family favorite! For years, I’ve been making this No Boil Baked Macaroni and Cheese … it’s so yummy! While we love baked mac and cheese, sometimes we crave a more creamy mac and cheese, and my new Instant Pot Mac and Cheese is just that! It’s ooey, gooey and oh so creamy! I made it a few weeks ago, and my family has been begging for it daily since then.

What’s in Instant Pot Mac and Cheese?

  • 2 1/2 cups dry macaroni noodles
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk, divided
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

You will need an Instant Pot or other pressure cooker to make this version of mac and cheese. If you don’t own an Instant Pot, you can purchase one HERE or add it to your Christmas list and save this recipe for the future!

I don’t know but I think I may have to put an instant pot on my Christmas list. I’m fighting having another gadget in the house with the amazing recipes and ease I see online about this product. Your mac and cheese sounds delicious. Cream cheese, cheddar and parmesan seems like the perfect combination.

So, like Patti I keep vacillating on whether or not I need an instant pot. It’s recipes like this that make me want to get one, but then I THINK I might be able to do pretty much the same without one…just might take longer. What do you think?

    Thanks for sharing this deliciousness!

    hugs, Lynn

I totally understand, Lynn! I don’t see why you couldn’t make this the traditional way. You may have to drain the noodles, and may need to reserve just a little of the pasta water, but other than that, I can’t see why not! Good luck!

Have tried and love the instant pot, but it’s so big! I may just buy a regular pressure cooker, I have no need for all the other things that the pot does. Thank you for the recipes…
