My friend Stacy from Not Just a Housewife invited me to play along with a pretty cool series she has called Style X3. On her blog, she shows how she styles an item in her home, and she sends that same item to two other bloggers to style in their homes. The item is always inexpensive and you get to see it used in 3 different ways. I love that! Y’all know I’m all about reusing things in different ways in your home and finding unconventional ways to use items to decorate and create storage so this was really fun. So…Stacy sent me a burlap storage basket to style, and I immediately knew what I wanted to do with it. Come see!
Above you can see my kitchen island that used to be a buffet. I use it for extra kitchen storage, so when I received my burlap storage basket, I knew it would work perfectly on my kitchen island!
I have been trying to find a place to store our bread so that when someone wants to make a sandwich, dress a burger or put together a sub, they can just grab everything in one place. We don’t have a ton of counter space, so storing it on our counter top in a bread box wasn’t an option. I was storing the bread in our pantry, but every time someone went to pull out a loaf of bread or just wanted to grab some hotdog buns, all the bread would tumble out…not good. A bread basket is just what we needed. I can store all of the bread in one place that can be grabbed and brought up with ease!
It’s tucked in right between my cookbooks and if you aren’t looking, you won’t even notice that it is holding all of our bread.
I love burlap and just about anything labeled or stenciled, so the look fits perfectly with our home’s decor. If you are interested in the storage basket for your home, you can find it HERE on Amazon (affiliate link).
What would you do with this basket if you had one?
