3 Small Space Storage Solutions Using 1 Furniture Piece!

A few months ago, I shared this new storage cabinet that I got from Sauder, and how I was using it to store some things that I didn't necessarily want to see or want my guests to see either! Today, I want to show you two more ways that I have used this beautiful piece since then. You know I am constantly changing things around here...what can I say, it's a sickness? I just love to change my surroundings, and I absolutely love to shop my home and find new ways to use items that I already own! Free is good, right? So, today I'm going to share 3 small space storage solutions using one furniture piece!

Small Space Storage Ideas

Here is how I used my pretty cottage cabinet this summer. I stored my a few of my books, some blankets, our beach towels, some decor items that I really cherish and in that little red box, Kate's bathing suits. This baby sat right in my living room looking as cute as can be, and nobody was the wiser about what was inside. It made getting ready to go to the pool so simple! I'd just grab our towels and a bathing suit for Kate and we would be on our way! Then when I washed our towels, I could put them right back in the cabinet since this is really close to our laundry room. No more stacks of towels sitting on my dryer!

Now...let me show you two more ways I have used this fab cabinet!

Clothes and Shoe Storage

I moved it into my bedroom which is severely lacking in storage and closet space to use for some of my favorite things...my boots, purses and hats. I really wanted a space to keep all of the finishing touches that complete my outfits. I am not really that into fashion, but I love my boots, scarves and purses, so this was the perfect place to display them! I also love to wear ball caps, so having a spot to keep them was great! They used to be scattered all over the place, and now I can grab one and head out the door when I'm having a bad hair day! I also placed a few extra blankets and a heating pad that I use when my back hurts :) It sure does making getting ready in the morning so much easier!

Bathroom Storage

I also used my cabinet in our bathroom for a bit before we started our master bathroom renovation. I still stored some of our blankets in the cabinet, but also added some towels, my toiletries, extra toilet paper, Matt's cologne and watches, and my hairdryer and flat iron. It worked perfectly to keep all of our bathroom needs coralled, and really kept the counter top clutter to a minimum!

This little storage cabinet has helped me in so many ways! I can't wait to find even more new uses for it! I think it would make great pantry storage or toy storage for peeps with kiddos and lots of clutter!
