I am one week into my “lifestyle change,” and it’s tough. Last week after having a particularly bad day, my husband and I sat down for a talk. Not so much a talk about our relationship, but about the way we have been living. We talked about the fact that we are both in need of some changes with our jobs…he needs to hit it hard this final quarter, and I need to get more organized and come up with a better schedule. We also talked about our weight, and the fact that we need to do better with the healthy eating. Ugh…this is the really tough part. Okay, so I am a blogger, and I absolutely love that I can do what I love every single day, and that I can help other moms make changes in their lives without breaking the bank. What I do not love at all is the weight I have gained. Blogging is a busy job…between creating projects, photographing them, editing them, writing the posts, and then blasting them on social media, there isn’t much time for cooking meals during the day. So, I’ve been snacking instead of eating meals. The snacks I have been eating are usually pretty unhealthy. If only there were some way to eat well on a time crunch! Well, folks, I finally think I found something that will help me, and maybe it will help you too! I got the chance to try out Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals, and was really pleasantly surprised!
Lean Cuisine has launched a new collection of Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals featuring 6 different varieties full of 100% all natural, wholesome ingredients with a sauce you can add yourself. I went shopping at Target last week, and decided to try the plum ginger grain-crusted fish, honey citrus chicken, and pineapple black pepper beef. I’m going to be really honest with you…I was skeptical about the taste. I’ve tried other freezer meals in the past, and was not impressed. These are actually fabulous…no kidding!
I am trying to eat more fish, so I decided to start with the plum ginger grain-crusted fish. HOLY WOW! It was amazing! Within 5 minutes I had what felt like a gourmet meal to me! The plum ginger sauce made the dish absolutely amazing!
I didn’t have to take the time to sit in front of the stove, so I was able to get some photo editing done while it was cooking in my microwave, and took some time to sit down and really enjoy the meal. It’s amazing how refreshing it was to actually sit down and enjoy a healthy, delicious meal in the middle of the day!
I’ll be enjoying lunch from now on, and eating healthy at the same time! Win – Win!!! I can’t tell you how much better I feel at the end of the day. I’m less tired, I don’t feel guilty because I’m eating well, and I’m just in a much better mood all together!
Some great news…The ingredients in the Honestly Good dishes are grown by select farmers, and together with some of the farmers, they are donating a portion of the vegetables grown for Honestly Good to local communities!
Now that’s something I can stand behind!
