No Sew Jeweled Joy Pillow

No Sew Jeweled PillowI love to decorate with pillows, which can be pretty pricey.  Any time I have the chance to make my own, I do.  When we decorated our Christmas tree this year, I wanted to add some fun elements around the tree, and thought my little burlap stool would make a great touch.  But…it was missing something.  I stacked some gifts on it and added some blingy ornaments, but it was still missing something.  I decided it needed a pillow, but it had to be a little blingy as well, right?  So, this sweet little no sew Joy Pillow was born…let me show you how I made mine with Tulip Holiday Sparkle and Shine!

Beads in a BottleI started with some felt and Tulip Beads In a Bottle.

Liquid BeadsBefore starting on my pillow, I decided to practice first.  I think I would like to make my own gift tags this year, so I practiced by beading Cam’s name.  By beading, I mean simply squeezing the tube and letting the beads form on the felt.  This is sinfully easy!

joyI spelled out joy on a piece of white felt and let the liquid beads dry overnight.  I felt it needed just a little more bling, so I decided to use Tulip’s heat setting tool and Glam It Up Hot Fix Glass Crystals to add some sparkle.

JewelingI placed the beads in the shape of a snowflake using my tweezers.

Heat Tool For JewelingI then used the heat setting tool to set the beads.  This tool literally heats the adhesive on the back of the beads and sets them into the fabric permanently…amazing!

Hot Glue Felt TogetherNow let’s make the pillow…simply place the front of your pillow face down and add another piece of felt for the back of the pillow.  I hot glued the two pieces together on 3 sides.  I then added some stuffing and hot glued the bottom opening together.

Felt Joy Pillow - No SewTo add a little more detail, I cut strips all the way around the pillow.

Easy No Sew PillowThis little pillow was the perfect touch to my little stool…don’t ya think?

Elf On The Shelf Blanket Gift - A Fun IdeaKate had a little fun with the Beads in a Bottle too…she made a blanket for her Elf on The Shelf, Jenny and left it out for her to find.  Isn’t it adorable???

We had so much fun making these, and I can see tons of blingy crafts in our future!
