Jammies Are For Bedtime!

Lately, I have been in a rut.  At the beginning of summer, I was so excited to wear all of my little summer dresses and tanks with skirts.  I dressed up for a month, but then the newness wore off.  I’m at home all day with kids, so I got lazy.  Cute little dresses and skirts became white tees and p.j. pants.  I guess I figured there was no point in getting ready if I was just going to be at home all day.  I even stopped fixing my hair and opted for ball caps and headbands instead.  This  behavior contintued for the remainder of the summer.   Jammies are for bedtime, not daily living!  I should know better.

Not getting ready made me feel completely unmotivated and frumpy.  There is just something about walking past a mirror at 3:00 in the afternoon and seeing yourself make-up free with a ball cap and jammies that makes ya feel like an ogre.  It also made me feel insecure.  Matt got up every day and got ready for work, and here I was, looking like I just rolled out of bed at dinner time.  He never said anything, and always makes me feel like I’m beautiful, but in my own head, I thought, he must think I am a total skuz-bucket.  Well, I gave myself a swift kick in the arse, and decided to look for inspiration.

A couple of weeks ago, I really started getting into Pinterest.  So, I logged on hoping to find my fashion inspiration.  There were tons of outfits all put together, just laid out waiting for me!  All of the sudden, I found myself getting excited to get ready again.  So, I called my girl Julie that styles my hair and made an appointment to get my hair cut and styled.  Boy, what a difference a new hair cut makes!  It whipped me into shape real quick.  See, I am not one of those chics that makes my hair appointment months or even weeks in advance.  I need to be able to call a day or two in advance, while I’m feeling motivated, and Jules just gets it.  She gets me in her chair, tells me my hair is a hot mess, then fixes it all up!  Well, this opened the flood gates for change.  It started a complete overhaul for me.  I have now reorganized my closet, looked at all of the outfits that I found on Pinterest, and made a list of things that I had, and things that I would like to buy to help complete some of these looks!  I am ready to go!  Let’s just hope I can stay motivated for more than a month!  Wait, in a month or two, it will be sweater and Uggs time!  Yippee!

Check in tomorrow to see some of my favorite outfits!  I can’t wait to share!

Keep it real!

Due to having some of my content and posts stolen by no good lazy people who don’t do their own projects, I am sorry to have to truncate (shorten) my feeds. Please don’t hold it against me, and continue reading, because I do love you and want to share my tutorials with you ;)

Love,
