Trick or Treat ChalkboardYou are not going to believe what I used to make this super cute and easy Trick or Treat Chalkboard….wanna know?  Wait for it…toilet paper!!!  Say what?

Make a Fun Pumpkin ChalkboardI started with an old mirror that I had painted with chalkboard paint sometime back.  You can find that turorial, HERE.

Use toilet paper to make mini rosette pumpkins

Here is how I made the cutest little rosettes you have ever seen…It all started with toilet paper.  That makes me giggle a little.  I used Cottonelle, which I picked up from Target.  It’s the perfect thickness to make these rosettes…you cannot use thin toilet paper.

Make rosettes using tpPull out 6 squares and fold them lengthwise, then fold them again.

TP RosettesStart twisting the entire length, then start rolling them like shown above, keeping the roll tight as you go along.

Rosettes made with toilet tissueThis is what your rosette should look like as you are rolling it.Sweet rosettes made from tpOnce you get to the end, simply hot glue the end to the back of the rosette.

TP Rosettes on a Chalkboard FrameNow squish down the middle of the top of your rosette like a little pumpkin and hot glue to your frame.  Repeat until you have gone all the way around your frame.

Chalkboard Frame with TP RosettesI love the look of the frame with rosettes all the way around now, but since these are pumpkins, we need to give them a little bit of color, don’t you think?

Use RIT Dye on TP RosettesI simply mixed some orange RIT dye and water and gave them a little spritz.  You don’t want to soak them…they are made of tp after all.

Trick or Treat Chalkboard SignNow have fun writing a message on your chalkboard…ours says Trick or Treat, but I thought about Boo Y’all instead ;)

Truly, besides the fact that this Cottonelle is super thick and great to use for some of my craft projects, I think I found heaven in tp.  It’s so stinkin super soft, and now that they offer a Triple Roll, I think maybe I’ll get a bit of a break from changing out the tp as often, since the boys in my family cannot grasp that concept.  It’s definitely worth a try, and if you click, HERE or below, you can grab a fabulous coupon which entitles you to a free box of Kleenex with your purchase of any Cottonelle Triple Roll 12 Pack or Larger at Target while supplies last!

Soooo…would you use tp for crafting…come on!  It’s fun!
