Recently, I was asked by my mother-in-law to come up with a project using my Cricut machine for her blog, Exploring Cricut. She has put together an extremely talented group of designers and crafters to explore different Cricut cartridges and come up with new ideas using those cartridges that you normally wouldn’t think of. Now, I am crafty by nature, but when it comes to design, I usually get really frustrated and say forget it. Exploring Cricut has helped me find new ways to use what I have, and has helped me decide which cartridges I may want to purchase in the future.
Kate and I just bought the cartridge, Paper Doll Dress Up. It just looked so fun, and Kate loves paper dolls! So, we got it home, popped it in the Cricut, and made paper dolls. Then, my little brain started working, and I thought maybe we could use it to make a trick-or-treat bucket! We ran off to Michael’s craft store to buy buckets and glitter, and got busy! We decided to make a little girl with hair like Kate’s, wearing a cat costume…super cute! We then cut her name out in black vinyl, glued a feathery boa to the handle, and wrapped ribbon around the top and bottom. We dotted a little glue here and there, sprinkled some black and orange glitter on, and tada….the cutest halloween bucket we’ve ever seen!!!
Love,
Jessica
